Life Skills

Special Equestrians is now accepting applications for young adults with disabilities in high school transitional programs seeking to develop skills for supported or independent employment.

Students will have numerous opportunities to develop life skills at our therapeutic riding center by volunteering in the barn and assisting with horse care. A staff member from the school or program must oversee participating student(s). This program is coordinated by our program director, Janice Witt, who is also a licensed occupational therapist and certified therapeutic riding instructor.
